Macau Federation of Trade Unions Vice President Wong Kuai Leng said yesterday that the continuing downturn in the local economy was causing local employees to worry about their future, adding that they should improve their competiveness to meet the challenges lying ahead.
Wong made the appeal on the sidelines of a recruitment day co-hosted by the federation and luxury travel retailer DFS at the union’s youth centre in Rua do Campo.
The one-day recruitment event was attended by about 100 residents, who were interviewed after submitting their job applications.
