The music started at Dark Times Festival 2019 at the Navy Yard No. 2 in Barra yesterday afternoon with local record producer and musician Eric Chan Ming Yeung, the founder of Day’s Eye Records, getting proceedings underway with an e:ch solo DJ set.

As the event started at 2:30 p.m. there were very few spectators around but as the afternoon wore on more music fans began to drift in.

Local duo Faslane, comprising Matthew Ho Pak Hon, synthesiser, guitar and trumpet, and Tom Ip Chin Pang, drums, started off their set relatively quietly with Ho playing guitar and Ip using a wide variety of implements, a stool, what looked like an oversized wooden bracelet and some tin at the front of the stage.
