Local telecommunication company CTM signed a deal with China National Publication Import and Export (Group) Corporation yesterday, agreeing to promote a 5G reading experience for the latter’s newly-launched application, Express Reader.

The signing ceremony was held at the Venetian’s International Book Fair. During the ceremony, the publication group launched a brand-new application, Express Reader, for people to enjoy reading online. The application includes 50 different magazines and newspapers from Hong Kong, Macau and the mainland.

Last month CTM CEO Vandy Poon Fuk Hei told the media that his company would start tests on its 5G network by the end of this year, and that his company would be able to launch 5G at the same pace as the mainland and Hong Kong.
