Hotel Sun Sun in Praça de Ponte Horta embarked yesterday on a new journey by changing its name to “Hotel S” and presenting a new graffiti wall.
The hotel hosted a function on its premises to mark the name change.
According to a statement provided by the hotel, Hotel Sun Sun was built in 1949 in the square known in Cantonese as Si Ta Hau (“city entrance”). The square used to be a small jetty where tax was levied on imported goods.

The graffiti walls designed by Rainbo and Uncle show two fish chasing after the rounded window resembling a sea pearl.
