The Macau Handcraft and Creative People Association hosted a two-day miniature arts & crafts market in 10 Fantasia in S. Lázaro district yesterday to promote the local handcraft industry and encourage attendees to do-it-yourself (DIY).
Wong Ka Seng, secretary general of the association, said that Macau lacks space and opportunities for local handcraft enthusiasts to showcase their talents. Therefore, this association hosts four different miniature arts and crafts markets throughout the year to promote and sustain the local art industry in the city, according to Wong.
Wong said that the theme of the market, which ended yesterday, was “Summer”, adding that this was their eighth arts and crafts market. The event did not have an English name.
