The Transport Bureau (DSAT) have cancelled a taxi driver’s licence as they confirmed that the culprit violated the new taxi law four times, according to a PSP statement last night.

According to the new law, if a cabbie violates the law four times in five years his or her licence will be cancelled.

According to the statement, the cabbie – whose gender was not revealed – is understood to have violated Paragraph 1 (3) of Article 20 of the new taxi law eight times – involving five cases of overcharging, two cases of refusing to pick up passengers and one case of negotiating the fare. Of the eight cases, four were formally confirmed.
