The Court of Final Appeal (TUI) said in a statement yesterday that its president, Sam Hou Fai, welcomed the continuation of a deal to send some public prosecutors from Portugal on secondment to Macau.
Sam is the city’s top judge.
Portugal’s Prosecutor-General Joana Marques Vidal along with other prosecution officials from Portugal paid a visit to the Court of Final Appeal in Nam Van yesterday.
According to the statement, this was the first visit by a Portuguese prosecutor-general since Macau’s 1999 change in administration.
