Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Ho Chan Nam said in a statement on Friday that suspected human bones were found at A-Ma Temple in Barra on the previous day.
According to the statement, one of the temple’s cleaners found the bones, a skull with the lower jaw missing, a headstone and an urn in a yellow plastic bag when staff were cleaning the temple’s Ancestral Hall on Thursday afternoon.
After informing the person in charge of the temple, who was in Hong Kong, a temple staff member called the police on Friday morning to inform them about the case, Ho said.
