The Judiciary Police (PJ) detained a mainlander on Sunday for allegedly cheating two friends out of HK$450,000 in winnings which they had won in a local casino while gambling together, PJ spokesman Leng Kam Lon said during a regular press conference yesterday.

The case was reported to a police station by a mainlander in June.

Leng said the 30-year-old suspect surnamed Zhao told the police that he is unemployed. He also told the police that he visited Macau with two male friends in May. The personal information of the two males was not revealed by the spokesman.
