Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) Vice President Lo Chi Kin said yesterday that his bureau plans to build lifts connecting Coloane’s huge Seac Pai Van public housing estate and Coloane Hill, adding that his bureau aims to complete the project in 2021.
Lo made the remarks when replying to an oral interpellation by non-establishment lawmaker Au Kam San during a plenary session of the legislature.
According to Lo, the purpose of the project is it to make it more convenient for residents living in the sprawling public housing estate, which is at the bottom of Coloane Hill, to reach the top of the hill and use the recreational facilities there.
