The Public Security Police (PSP) caught a local man last week for sexually abusing an underage girl twice in a flat that he rents to her mother, PSP spokesman Wong Wai Chun said during a regular press conference yesterday.
According to Wong, the over 50-year-old suspect surnamed Man told the police that he works as a casino dealer. The victim is a junior secondary school pupil, Wong said. Her personal information such as her age was not released by the spokesman.
According to the Macau Penal Code, sex with a minor under the age of 16 is illegal.
