Public Security Police (PSP) spokeswoman Chong Sin I yesterday advised residents to set better passwords, an example being not to include it in their public social media name.

Chong gave the advice during a press briefing where she announced the case of a 32-year-old unemployed local woman, who in April was able to steal from a victim’s hotel safe and bank account by using the numbers he used for his social media name.

According to Chong, the suspect was arrested on Monday in Praceta 24 de Junho. She was stopped by patrolling officers who thought she was acting suspiciously when she saw them, and they found that her identification details matched the suspect in a case reported in February.
