Lawmaker-cum-businessman Chan Meng Kam said yesterday that the opinions about the ownership of the city’s telecom “concession assets” were starkly divided between lawmakers and the government, with the former feeling that they should belong to the government.
The legislature’s Public Administration Affairs Monitoring Committee met government officials in the legislative chambers yesterday to discuss the situation of Macau’s telecom services as well as reflecting concerns raised by some telecom providers.
The meeting was closed to the media. Chan, who heads the committee, briefed reporters on the meeting afterwards.
