An exhibition of artwork by teachers and pupils from Colégio Mateus Ricci, entitled “Joyful Riccians”, to mark the Catholic school’s 65th anniversary, is on display at the gallery of the Education Resources Centre of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) this week.
According to an article on the DSEJ website, the event is sponsored by the bureau and organised by the school as part of a string of activities to celebrate the anniversary.
This exhibition brings together more than 100 creations by the school’s pupils and teachers, including a song composed to celebrate the 65th anniversary, posters, traditional masks, oil paintings, sketches, needle-and-stroke drawings, ball-pen drawings, paper cuttings, paper mosaics, 3D printing, photography, aerial photography, and Chinese and English calligraphy. The exhibits showcase the school’s achievements in art education, according to the article.
The exhibition runs until Saturday in the ground-floor Zizhan Gallery of the DSEJ Education Resources Centre at 926, Avenida da Praia Grande. It is open today and tomorrow from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. to 5:40 p.m. Admission is free.
As part of the government’s COVID-19 prevention measures, visitors need to wear a facemask, have their temperature checked and present a digital health code when entering the gallery.
