Flat owners of the ill-fated Sin Fong Garden Building in Rua da Ribeira do Patane, which was hastily evacuated after some of its main pillars burst in late 2012, yesterday expressed anger that the reconstruction of the high-rise still cannot get off the ground because of the ongoing lawsuit between the government and the building companies allegedly responsible for using poor building materials that ultimately caused the incident.
The Macau Jiangmen Communal Society, which has promised to cover some of the building’s reconstruction costs, yesterday hosted a meeting for the building’s condominium owners to express their opinions on the matter.The meeting was held on the society’s premises.
