An exhibition entitled “Selected Works by Local Artists”, which is part of the ongoing Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2021 event, themed “Advance and Retreat of Globalisation” (全球化的進與退), is being held at the former Ox Warehouse gallery.
The venue is also known as Former Municipal Cattle Stable (市政牧場舊址(牛房)).
The exhibition is co-hosted by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) and the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) in conjunction with various entities.
According to a statement on the Art Macao website, the exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to review the globalisation status in the time of a pandemic through visual arts. A public calling for visual artworks from local artists was held, and 12 pieces/sets of outstanding works were selected, such as paintings, three-dimensional installations, sculptures and photography.
The event aims to provide local artists with an international platform for exchanges, so as to improve their international vision and cultivate talents, the statement underlined.
The exhibition is being held at the former Ox Warehouse gallery at the junction of Avenida do Coronel Mesquita and Avenida Almirante Lacerda until October 24. It opens daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free. For more details, visit https://www.artmacao.mo/2021/en/event/8859
As part of the government’s COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures, all visitors to the museum must wear a facemask, have their temperature checked and present a valid Macau Health Code.
