The Health Bureau (SSM) announced in a statement on Tuesday that people can get the bus to the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre by showing their appointment slip or the text message of their appointment reminder.

According to the statement, in response to residents’ needs to visit the hospital for medical consultation during this week’s special COVID-19 prevention and control measures, people who are required to have regular medical services at the hospital can present the text message of their appointment reminder or appointment slip, including blood sampling services, outpatient services and drug dispensary services, or the electronic appointment voucher in their Macao One Account, to the bus driver when boarding the bus en route to the hospital.

The statement underlined that patients seeking urgent medical attention who need to catch a bus but do not have an appointment slip can contact the public hospital by calling 8390 3600 for registration. Afterwards, the statement added, the hospital will send an emergency appointment confirmation by text message to the patient who needs to use public transport, which will be valid for two hours.

The statement noted that each service user can be accompanied by one family member during the bus trip. The statement added that the service users are required to present their appointment slip, text message, and certificate of attendance to the bus driver when returning home.

Enquiries can be made to the public hospital’s Patient Relations Office by calling 8390 5000 during office hours.

The government’s special COVID-19 control measures began at 0:00 on Monday and end at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday.
