The Transport Bureau (DSAT) announced in a statement on Sunday that bus route 15S is temporarily being provided for members of the public to travel between Avenida de Vale das Borboletas and Escola de São José de Ká Hó in Coloane during the government’s special COVID-19 control and prevention measures through Friday, adding that passengers will only be required to show their green Macau Health Code.
The statement noted that after reviewing the operation of the 30 special bus routes in the past few days while taking the geographical conditions of Coloane and its residents’ “basic subsistence” travel needs in the island’s remote areas into account, the bureau is providing special bus services on route 15, renamed 15S, on a temporary basis. The temporary route includes Coloane Village, Cheoc Van and Hac Sa.
The statement underlined that passengers of route 15S operated by Transmac will only be asked to show their green Macau Health Code and pay the fare when getting on the bus. Each bus is still limited to 60 percent full capacity, the statement added.
According to the statement, the special services will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a frequency of one service per hour.
The bureau reminded people in the statement that bus passengers of the other 30 special day and night routes will still have to hold special permits, including domestic helpers holding a valid blue card and civil servants participating in COVID-19 prevention works, this week through Saturday, adding that people who are required to visit a hospital for medical treatment can show their appointment slip or digital appointment reminder to the bus driver, in order to catch a bus to the hospital.
The statement underlined that all passengers are required to present their green Macau Health Code before getting on the bus.
