A Judiciary Police (PJ) investigator caught a man red handed surreptitiously taking photos of his wife’s legs when the couple were shopping, PJ spokesman Lou Chan Fai said during a regular press conference yesterday.
Lou identified the 56-year-old local suspect surnamed Wong as a computer engineer. The victim is 26 years old.
According to Lou, on Friday at 1 p.m. when the victim was shopping with her husband in a supermarket in Taipa, her husband, a PJ investigator, discovered that a man, Wong, was following them and kept taking photos of his wife.
The PJ investigator intercepted Wong at the scene where Wong admitted taking photos of his wife’s arms and legs.
Wong was taken to a police station, Lou said, adding that around 1,000 photos of various women’s arms and legs were found on his phone.
Wong was transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP) on Saturday, facing an invasion of privacy charge, Lou noted.
