The SIMANG Association of Macau said in a statement yesterday that it has provided aid to earthquake victims in Turkey.
The association aims to tackle social exclusion and support social inclusion through education and personal development, the group says in a statement on its Facebook page.
According to the statement, the group has assisted volunteers who entered into an agreement with Turkish authorities in Hong Kong to gather newly bought supplies for the earthquake victims. The group was given aircraft cargo space on Tuesday to transport supplies gathered in Macau, the statement noted.
“We are grateful to the Turkish consulate in Hong Kong, our volunteers, and our members, friends, and family for providing much-needed resources for this small-scale private initiative”, the group said in the statement.
