Macau recorded 104 COVID-19 infections on Wednesday, 11 down from the 115 infections reported on Tuesday, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announced in a statement yesterday.
This came after 177 COVID-19 infections were recorded on Monday.
According to yesterday’s statement, one new COVID-19 patient was admitted to the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre on Wednesday for treatment.
According to data previously released by the centre, three new COVID-19 patients were admitted to the public hospital on Tuesday for treatment.
Consequently, a total of 201 new COVID-19 patients were admitted to treatment facilities between May 1 and June 28.
Macau’s current peak of COVID-19 infections, which started early last month, has gradually been easing for the last two weeks.
Macau has not recorded any COVID-19 fatalities for 10 consecutive days, from June 19 to 28, after the latest COVID-19 fatality was recorded on June 18.
Macau’s official COVID-19 death toll currently stands at 124.
