Macau recorded 104 COVID-19 infections on Wednesday, 11 down from the 115 infections reported on Tuesday, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announced in a statement yesterday.

This came after 177 COVID-19 infections were recorded on Monday.

According to yesterday’s statement, one new COVID-19 patient was admitted to the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre on Wednesday for treatment.

According to data previously released by the centre, three new COVID-19 patients were admitted to the public hospital on Tuesday for treatment.

Consequently, a total of 201 new COVID-19 patients were admitted to treatment facilities between May 1 and June 28.

Macau’s current peak of COVID-19 infections, which started early last month, has gradually been easing for the last two weeks.

Macau has not recorded any COVID-19 fatalities for 10 consecutive days, from June 19 to 28, after the latest COVID-19 fatality was recorded on June 18.

Macau’s official COVID-19 death toll currently stands at 124.
