The Macau Association for Stray Dogs and Animal Welfare (MASDAW) is calling on members of the public for their support, according to a statement provided by the association yesterday.
The statement noted that those who have visited MASDAW’s new shelter may find that its current environment is comfortable for its 119 “furry friends”, all of which have different backgrounds and stories, and also have various types of health issues while some are senior dogs.
However, the statement said that the donations that the association receive have declined since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and currently there is just enough in the bank to pay for the shelter’s rent until August. Moreover, the need for dog food, fresh treats, daily medication, vaccines and medical treatments also affects the association and its volunteers.
To support the association, one can send donations via BOC 13-01-20-024733 or BNU 9012686823. One can also send donations through Mpay, after which a transaction record should be sent to info@masdaw.org. For more details, visit the association’s Facebook page.
