The art works of 16 young artists from Macau are being showcased in an exhibition entitled “Waiting: An Act of Faith - Macao’s Youth Contemporary Art Exhibition” at Tap Seac Gallery.

The free admission exhibition is on until May 28, organised by the Macau Youth Art Association. The artists showcasing their works are Lei Ieng Wai, Ng Man Wai, Tuzi Ng Lai Seong, Julia Lam Tsz Kwan, Zha Rui, Zhang Ke, Angel Chan On Kei, Leong Chi Mou, Hera Ieong Mei Cheng, Dor Lio Hak Man, Lai Sio Kit, Bunny Lai Sut Weng, Lao I Wo, Chiang Wai Lan, Sunny Sit Ka Kit and Yanlas Sou Leng Fong.

According to a statement on the Macau Youth Art Association’s website, the over 40 works on display feature oils, acrylics, digital photography, mixed media and pottery. Western-style paintings and 3D installations are also presented.

The statement noted that the works are a result of a period of waiting, which is an “act of faith”, that each of the artists experienced throughout their creative process. Each work also represents a “deep sense of humanity in their various forms”, the statement said.

The gallery is open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is closed on Mondays. For more details, one can visit www.macauyouthart.com, as well as the association’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
