The Cultural Development Fund (FDC) will roll out a programme to subsidise local non-profit-making organisations to hold arts and cultural activities that showcase Macau’s special characteristics and achievements in arts and cultural development in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the 25th anniversary of Macau’s return to the motherland, according to the fund’s statement released yesterday.
The programme will be open for application from today to July 19, welcoming local projects in the field of arts and culture which will be available for members of the public to join, including cultural performances, exhibitions or fairs, competitions, and intangible cultural heritage festivals, the statement said.
The applications may also include extension activities such as audio-visual productions, video or animation productions, lectures, workshops, training programmes, and seminars, the statement said.
The applicants are required to be non-profit-making local associations established on or before December 31, 2023, and each applicant can only apply for one project, while the maximum subsidy will be up to one million patacas, the statement said, adding that the total budget of the programme is 25 million patacas, and there is no limit for the number of the applicants.
Individuals cannot apply for the subsidy.
The statement said that the fund will give priority to the projects that achieve a higher assessment score, execution ability of the applicant, as well as based on the scale and expected impact of the project. The projects must be completed by year end or before.
