The “Macao·Hengqin Craft Market” is set to open tomorrow at the Hengqin Culture and Art Complex, featuring over 100 stalls selling cultural and creative products as well as food, according to a statement released by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) earlier this week.

The four-day event, jointly organised by the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and Macau’s Cultural Affairs Bureau, will run until Sunday. The statement said the market aims to promote cultural and creative exchanges between Macau and Hengqin.

The statement noted that this year’s event follows the success of previous editions, which were well-received by residents from both places. A total of 50 Macau-based cultural and creative brands have been selected to showcase local products.

The market will run daily from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., with 150 stalls from the Chinese mainland, Macau, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia. Special exhibition booths will also highlight the upcoming 15th National Games and Macau’s Intangible Cultural Heritage items.

Live performances and cultural talks will be held during the event to encourage artistic exchange, the statement added. The public are welcome to attend.
