A total of 23 of the HALFTONE Photographic Association’s members are showcasing their works in an exhibition at the Rui Cunha Foundation (FRC) gallery, which kicked off on Tuesday evening.
The collective exhibition, titled “Halftone Exhibition ‘25”, commemorates the association’s fourth anniversary and allows exhibitiongoers to look through the lenses of the participating photographers specialising in different disciplines, each presenting their own styles and approaches to the art form.
Works comprise everything from studio and street photography to landscapes and wildlife, presenting images in both colour and black and white, with works coming from multidisciplinary photographers and artists from Macau and elsewhere in China, as well as from Portugal, according to a statement by the association displayed at the gallery.
The works highlight the diversity that photography enables, the statement said, and affirms its “decisive role in contemporary artistic and visual practice”, particularly in Macau.
The works can be viewed at the free admission gallery, located on Avenida da Praia Grande (澳門南灣大馬路), until next Saturday, October 25, with exhibitiongoers able to visit from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2:30 to 7 p.m., as well as on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. It is closed on Sundays.
