Integrated resort operator Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) continues to host its “Sport Games Family Experience – Games On!” during the weekends at the Lai Chi Vun Shipyards in Coloane until November 30, inviting members of the public to  “immerse themselves in the excitement and vibrant atmosphere of Macau’s signature sports events”, according to a recent statement from the company.

The event, held in support of the recently concluded 72nd Macau Grand Prix (MGP) and the 15th National Games ending today, features game booths themed around the two events. Among them are table tennis matches, badminton serving challenges, basketball shooting contests, and remote-control racing cars on a mini track, the statement said.

Other than the game booths, the event also features large-scale photo installations and check-in spots inspired by Wavey the Peacock of Galaxy Kidz, and live music performances, the statement said. The statement added that complimentary shuttle bus services are also provided between Galaxy Macau’s Diamond Lobby and the Lai Chi Vun Shipyards.

The integrated resort operator was a sponsor of the Macau Competition Zone of the 15th National Games and the Macau Grand Prix. The table tennis event of the National Games was held from November 7 through yesterday at the 16,000-seat Galaxy Arena, Macau’s largest indoor arena.

“GEG will continue to deliver a rich and diverse range of sports and cultural experiences for residents and tourists, further enhancing Macau’s positioning as a ‘World Centre of Tourism and Leisure’”, the statement said.
