A local architect said at an open-air debate yesterday that it was not suitable for commercial activities and industrial activities to run side by side in an industrial building because the combination would pose a high safety risk.
The Macau Forum weekly debate programme is hosted by government-owned broadcaster TDM in Areia Preta Park every Sunday.
Yesterday’s focus of the forum was on the government’s industrial building revitalisation policies – how to make good use of the city’s many industrial buildings, considering that the city’s manufacturing sector is nowadays just a minor part of the local economy.
