From a few bricks to kinetic machines, robots, animals, vehicles and many more, children are inspired to build, play and create in the realms of science, technology, engineering, art and maths.

This “Think Brick – Play and Learn with Lego Education” activity is currently taking place at the Macau Science Centre (MSC) in its ground floor exhibition hall where over 30 mechanical models are on display, complete with interactive classrooms for children to learn how to build their own machines.

The activity aims to promote the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and maths) educational concept, in order to encourage children and youths put their creativity to work, cultivate scientific thinking, acquire comprehensive knowledge and develop problem-solving skills.

The exhibition hall is mapped out with a giant brick wall at the entrance to build whatever kids like there, a “Little Brick Kingdom” zone where children play with giant soft Lego bricks and, after marvelling at what can be built with a few bricks, children might then want to get their hands on some bricks so there are zones where they can create their own combat vehicle and build their own water wheels and barriers.
