The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested an officer of the Macau Customs Service on Tuesday for cheating his friend out of HK$200,000, PJ spokesman Ho Chan Nam said during a special press conference yesterday.
According to Ho, the alleged fraud involved a bank loan for the purchase of a car.
Ho identified the suspect as a 38-year-old local man surnamed Choi, who joined the Customs Service in 1998. Choi and the victim have been friends since secondary school.
