A man from the mainland was arrested on Wednesday for stealing a gambler’s chips in a casino in Cotai, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Ho Chan Nam said yesterday during a regular press conference.
According to Ho, the 38-year-old suspect is surnamed Shen, while the victim is a man in his fifties.
Ho said that on Tuesday night the victim was gambling in the casino. He left chips worth HK$40,000 on the gaming table and went to another table nearby. Spotting the victim had left his chips unattended, Shen took the chips and put them all on a bet.
