A scooter rider injured in a traffic accident on Wednesday in Estrada do Canal dos Patos, passed away yesterday morning, the Public Security Police (PSP) said in a statement yesterday.
According to the Public Security Police, the deceased, who was a man in his forties, crashed into a car at the junction of Avenida do Comendador Ho Yin and Estrada do Canal dos Patos at around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday. He was seriously injured and semi-conscious when he was rushed to the public Conde de Sao Januario Hospital Centre. The police initially suspected that the accident was a result of either the rider or the driver failing to give way.
The rider was pronounced dead at around 9 a.m. yesterday morning.
