Macau’s hotel sector recorded 8.09 million guests in the first seven months of the year, a year-on-year growth of 6.8 percent, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) announced yesterday.
The average occupancy rate of hotels and guesthouses rose by 3.2 percentage points to 88.7 percent, while visitors’ average length of stay increased by 0.1 night year on year to 1.5 nights.
The number of hotels and guesthouses stood at 116 at the end of July, an increase of nine establishments year on year.
