A man’s body was found lying on the beach near the Kun Iam Statue in Nape and a man drowned in the Inner Harbour near the bus terminal in Barra, the Judiciary Police (PJ) said in separate statements yesterday.
The first statement said at 7:15 a.m. yesterday, a security guard working at the Kun Iam Statue called the authorities after seeing a body lying on the waterfront there. Customs officers and firemen arrived at the scene to retrieve the body.
According to the statement, the man passed away “not long ago”.
