Two female hospital staff have been infected with measles, pushing up the total number of measles patients in the city to 30 so far this year, a statement from the Health Bureau (SSM) said yesterday.
According to the statement, 27 patients have recovered from the highly infectious disease.
The latest female patients are a 29-year-old radiographic technician who is a non-resident worker living in Zhuhai and working for the private Kiang Wu Hospital, and a 30-year-old local resident who works as an emergency nurse in the paediatric unit at the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre.
