The People Power Macau grassroots group and local tour guides told a press conference yesterday that a protest march against illegal tour groups would be held on Thursday.
The conference was held by the group at the office of directly-elected lawmakers António Ng Kuok Cheong and Au Kam San in Rua Central da Areia Preta. The two legislators were conspicuous by their absence.
Local tour guide José Dias said that illegal tour groups often pretend that their members are merely an informal group of individual travellers from the same village or town on the mainland who just happen to be travelling to Macau together.
