Retired policeman kills himself due to illness: police

A retired Public Security Police (PSP) officer killed himself with his handgun in his home in Taipa on Saturday night, the Judiciary Police (PJ) said in a statement yesterday.

The statement identified the deceased as a 56-year-old surnamed Tang who retired from the police in 2012.

The Judiciary Police received a report from the Public Security Police at 10:10 p.m. on Saturday that a retired PSP officer was believed to have killed himself with a handgun in his flat in Rua de Coimbra, the PJ statement said.
