Dragon Boat Festival visitors rise 58 pct

A total of 397,101 tourists visited Macau during the Dragon Boat Festival between last Friday and Sunday, up 58.8 percent from the same holiday period last year, the government announced yesterday.

The daily average of visitor arrivals reached 132,367 during the holiday.

The festival was a three-day holiday on the mainland. It was a public holiday on Friday in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
