The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) told government-owned broadcaster TDM yesterday that it recorded a temperature of 33.7 degrees Celsius – the highest yesterday – at its monitoring station on Big Taipa Hill yesterday, marking it the hottest National Day since 1952.
The weather station said that Macau’s weather was very hot yesterday under the influence of a continental anticyclone, which was expected to continue to influence Macau’s weather today. The bureau predicted that today’s weather will be sunny and very hot, and also forecast bad air quality.
