The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a male mainlander on Tuesday for stealing cash and valuables such as gaming chips worth a total of about HK$1.28 million from six gamblers in local casinos since late May, PJ spokesman Ho Chan Nam said during a special press conference yesterday.
In each of the six cases, the suspect succeeded in stealing the victims’ cash and other valuables when they were deeply engrossed in gambling.
