The Sports Bureau (ID) announced in a statement yesterday the launch of an online on-the-spot swimming ticketing service on its website and mobile app, which will be effective from May 1, in line with the development of Macau’s “electronic administration”.

According to the statement, the public will be able to purchase on-the-spot swimming tickets online. Swimmers can also purchase the tickets at the swimming pool or pre-purchase tickets two days in advance through the current online booking system.

The statement added that instant information about the tickets is shared on the bureau’s website, app and public swimming pool information boards.

The statement said that purchases will be available 30 minutes before each session. Macau ID card holders or Sports Easy member card holders can “visit www.sport.gov.mo or use [the] ID mobile app, select the location, fill in personal data and make an e-payment to complete the purchase and then download the ticket”, the statement pointed out.

Tickets will also be sent through SMS. The statement said that as children aged 12 or below need to be accompanied by adults to use swimming pools, information can be attached for up to two children for purchasing tickets

If tickets are bought 30 minutes before the session begins, swimmers are required to enter the pool within 30 minutes of each session. If purchases are made after the session starts, swimmers must enter the pool within 30 minutes after the purchase, the statement said.

Admission times will be displayed on each ticket. The statement underlined that tickets will be void if they are not used at the designated time and the quota will be released to the ticketing system. Identification documents and tickets are needed for admission.

In line with the Health Bureau’s (SSM) pandemic prevention measures, users must wear a facemask in the venue, undergo a temperature check, present a valid green Macau Health Code and scan the Venue QR Code.

Further details can be found at www.sport.gov.mo or by calling 2823 6363 for enquiries.
