A man pushed over a motorbike and put cigarette ends and cigarette ash in the parcel pocket in the fairing after it blocked his way, Public Security Police (PSP) spokeswoman Lai In Hong said in a regular press conference yesterday.
According to Lai, the suspect surnamed Mok, who is in his sixties, told the police that he’s jobless. Lai pointed out that on January 1, the motorcycle owner reported to the police that his motorcycle parked in Travessa do Goivo had been pushed to the ground with cigarette ends and cigarette ash “filling” the parcel pocket in the fairing. He estimated the cost of repairs to be 1,000 patacas.
Lai noted that the motorcycle was parked illegally.
Lai said that after watching CCTV footage from the area, the police identified Mok as the suspect and called him in for questioning on Wednesday. Lai said that the suspect admitted to the crime and told the police that he committed it because he was angry about the motorcycle blocking his way.
Mok faces property damage charges and has been transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP).
