The Public Security Police (PSP) arrested a local man on Thursday for at least four cases of theft from retail shops – including three Caritas Macau donation boxes – since late August, PSP spokesman Kam Ka Kit said during a regular press conference yesterday.
Kam identified the suspect as a 44-year-old man surnamed Ma. He told the police that he is employed as a construction worker.
The thieving spree started on August 23. Three bakeries in Nape and the northern district separately reported the theft of their Caritas Macau donation boxes, according to Kam.
This undated handout photo by the Public Security Police (PSP) yesterday shows some cash, clothes and a pair of shoes seized from the self-confessed serial thief.
