Macau hoists standby signal No. 1
Macau's weather station hoisted the standby signal No. 1 at 8 p.m. today as a tropical cyclone might affect the city. According to a statement by the Macau Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) tonight, at 11 p.m. the tropical cyclone was estimated to be about 650 kilometres east-south-east of Macau when it was moving about towards the west coast of Guangdong province at about 20 km/h. The statement said that the signal No. 1 would remain hoisted at least until tomorrow

Govt adjusts income, asset limits for social rental housing
The Macau government has adjusted the income and liquid asset limits for social rental housing applicants. The adjustments were promulgated in today's Official Gazette (BO) in the form of an executive order signed by Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng. Applicants' monthly income limit ranges from 12,750 patacas (US$1,600) for a one-person household to 37,300 patacas for a household with seven or more members. The liquid asset limit ranges from 275,400 patacas for a one-person household

Residential property price per m2 drops to below 100,000 patacas
The Macau Special Administrative Region's (MSAR) average residential property price dropped to below 100,000 patacas (US$12,500) per square metre last month, according to statistics released by the Financial Services Bureau (DSF) today. According to the bureau's website, the average price amounted to 99,909 patacas per square metre in July, a decline of 2.04 percent month-to-month. White dolphin carcass found near Cheoc Van Beach

Wynn revenue falls 79.2 pct in H1

Dead baby found near casino
A dead baby was found  near the Wynn casino-hotel resort today, the police announced.
