The Macau Customs Service moved its headquarters from the peninsula’s Barra to the Zone E1 land reclamation area in Taipa’s Pac On district last week.
Before its relocation on Monday last week, the Customs Service was headquartered in Barra at the south-western tip of the Macau peninsula.
Those submitting documents to the customs or handling other formalities must now go to the new headquarters, located on the corner of Avenida do Cais de Pac On (北安碼頭大馬路) and Travessa Três do Cais de Pac On (北安碼頭三巷) in Zone E1.
The relocation of the Macau Customs Service’s headquarters came after the Public Security Police (PSP) moved their headquarters to Zone E1 last month.
The new Customs Service headquarters and the new Public Security Police headquarters are located next to each other, both right next to the Taipa side’s entrance and exit of Macau Bridge, the city’s fourth sea crossing connecting the Macau peninsula and Taipa island, which opened on National Day, October 1.
Construction of the 650-million-pataca new Customs Service headquarters, which got off the ground in January 2021, was completed in September last year.
The new PSP complex in Zone E1 houses the new PSP headquarters and also the new headquarters of its tactical unit.
Construction of the 1.075-billion-pataca new PSP complex, which also got off the ground in January 2021, was completed in January this year.
The Public Security Police were previously headquartered in Zape district in the peninsula, while the former headquarters of its tactical unit, officially known as Special Police Unit, was located next to the Barrier Gate land border checkpoint at the peninsula’s northern tip.
The new PSP complex in Zone E1 was officially inaugurated by Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng a fortnight ago.
