The operation of the Transportation Infrastructure Office (GIT) will be extended for a further three years, to November 1, 2020, according to an announcement published in the Official Gazette (BO) yesterday.The office was set up in 2007 as a “project team” for five years for the construction of the Light Rail Transit (LRT). The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) hoisted the No. 3 typhoon signal at 4:30 p.m. yesterday.The signal was still up at 9:30 p.m. when Tropical Cyclone Merbok was less than 100 kilometres east of the city. 400 disabled cheated in ‘IPIM scam’: police
