The Macau Customs Service said in a statement yesterday that its officers rescued four illegal immigrants (IIs) from the sea off Sai Van Bridge on Monday night while the No. 3 typhoon signal was hoisted.The statement stated that the IIs, all from the mainland aged 27 to 43, fell off a sampan at about 9 p.m. when they were about to enter the city clandestinely. Vehicle registrations fall 32 pct in H1

The number of new motor vehicle registrations dropped by 31.6 percent year-on-year to 6,869 in the first half of the year, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) announced yesterday. The number of new motorcycle registrations declined by 25.9 percent to 3,809. Man mugged of HK$6,000

Macau observatory expects higher typhoon signal

Casino receipts in July beat forecasts
