Eco-bureau publishes plastic bag consultation report
The Environmental Protection Bureau (DSPA) yesterday published a public consultation report about the possible implementation of plastic shopping bag charges.“Most” of the opinions collected during the consultation process supported a charge scheme on plastic shopping bags for retail businesses, the bureau said, without elaborating, in a statement.  The consultation took place from December 2015 to February this year.Please read the full article in our print edition.

Police nab S Korean man for raping compatriot
The Judiciary Police (PJ) announced yesterday the arrest of a South Korean man on Sunday on suspicion of raping a compatriot who had borrowed gaming chips from him. Bus crashes into lorry carrying bamboo poles
A public bus yesterday afternoon crashed into the back of a lorry carrying a bundle of bamboo poles in Taipa with the poles smashing the bus windscreen and narrowly missing the 62-year-old driver.The driver suffered cuts to his forehead from the flying glass and bruises to his chest from hitting the steering wheel. Tiny Star with lioness heart crosses rainbow bridge
